Horse Shoe Crab
I walk on the beach
And I beg and beg for love
But all I find are
upsidedown horseshoe crab husks
That I flip over out of habit
Even though I know they're empty
It's silly but
It still feels like a small kindness
Like if there was life left in there
I'd be setting it free
Back on its path to the ocean
after being stranded on this lonely shore
