About this Project

Hi! I'm Jeb Katsiopis (They/He), a Greek-American, Queer,
Interdisciplinary artist and poet. I have a passion for sociology and communication, and art. Recently I have been immersed in printmaking, ceramics, painting, and poetry.

Many of the poems in this collection were writen at a weekly Community Poetry group.
The first half of the meetup is a workshop, our host gives us prompts to go off of, and then we take turns reading our poems out loud, giving feedback and sparking further discussion. Our second half is an open mic where we read something we've written or share the work of someone else. We encourage works in progress, flights of fancy, playful-whimsical-outlandish-break-the-mold kind of poetry, poetry that helps us grieve and grow, learn and cry and laugh. Each season is full of new an old faces, people who've never written poems before, people who have written all their lives, and people who only sit and listen.

Every week I find myself writing a lot of poems about small creatures/objects,
mundane things often overlooked, that are deserving of our attention and wonder

A fellow poet and friend gave me the tittle of "Patron Saint of Little Guys"
Thus the title of this website, a place dedicated to housing these poems.
